How To Live With Objects: Book Launch

I joined the Sight Unseen team to support the launch of How To Live With Objects, developing a social-first content strategy centered around TikTok and short-form video. Sight Unseen had an extensive archive of photography and video created throughout the making of the book, and I saw an opportunity to extend the life of that content beyond the launch itself.

I reviewed and organized the existing archive, identifying opportunities to turn the material into both recurring series and standalone pieces of content. I then edited, reformatted, and packaged the assets for social, creating accessible, visually engaging content that introduced the ideas and inspiration behind the book to a broader audience.

TikTok

Alongside the book launch, I developed a broader TikTok content strategy designed to grow Sight Unseen's presence on the platform while maintaining its editorial point of view. I mined the brand's extensive content archive to identify stories that could be repurposed into highly saveable, shareable formats.

The strategy expanded beyond book promotion to include home tours, travel destinations, design shops, vintage objects, product roundups, and how-to content. By creating a consistent mix of practical and inspirational videos, we were able to introduce Sight Unseen's existing body of work to a new audience while giving the platform its own distinct content identity.

Say hello 😊
